Changing the Navigation Language
In the screenshots below, you will find some of the buttons and tabs for which you may want to change labeling. They are outlined in orange.
The video tutorial demonstrating how to change the Language for the word Syllabus can be viewed below. Click the icon to the right of the volume control to view full screen.
Step by step directions can be found below.
Note: The titles of the Navigation buttons can be changed in the Navigation section on the back-end of the platform.
In this example, we will be changing the language of the Syllabus button.
To get started, navigate to the back-end of your institution’s site. Go to Customize, then select Language from the menu to enter the Language Editor. Once you arrive at the Language Editor, you will see a full list of all defaulted labeling within the platform. You can customize any or all of these labels.
Step 1: In the search field on the upper right corner of the Language Editor page, search for the label you wish to change. In this example, the results shown below indicate that the word “Syllabus” exists as a tab or button in more than one place.
Step 2: Pay close attention to the path shown below the word, so that the correct tab or button is changed. In this case, we will be changing the labeling in all of the places where the word, Syllabus occurs.
Step 3: Now, type in the new language and click Save.
Now, let’s navigate to the course on the front-end to view our changes.
