Enroll to Courses by target

We will be using the Enroll to Courses by target feature to enroll a group of users who met the criteria of earning a passing score of 80% or higher in the Introduction to Principles of Management- Millennial Edition in order to be enrolled in Principles of Management Millennial Edition course. In this case, we will demonstrate how to use set a specific criteria for our target using the Course Filter.

Step 1: Establish your target group. Navigate over to the Targets section under the PEOPLE icon in the navigation bar. Click on +NEW TARGET to begin.

Step 2: The name of your target and description might look something like this. Now, click Save and Continue on the bottom left hand corner to continue.

Step 3: As previously mentioned, you will have a wide variety of filters to choose from in order to populate your target. In this example, we will be using the Courses target.

Step 4: The Course filter option will be separated into different filters for you to choose from. For this example, we will use the Grade Filter to set our criteria.

Step 5: You will be asked to select a Course and Grade Range. Once you select a Course, you will be asked to select a specific grade or evaluation from the course. Click on Final grade. Next, we will enter the passing grade criteria that we will use to determine whether or not a learner will be enrolled into Principles of Management Millennial Edition, which will be 70%. Then, click Save.

Your target will populate the number of users in the People column, shown on the Targets page.

Step 6: Now, we will navigate to the Principles of Management Millennial Edition course and enable the Targets feature and select the Enrollment into Principles of Management- Millennial Edition target. Notice that the Principles of Management Millennial Edition course currently has no enrollments. Once we enable the feature the enrollments will update.

Step 7: Click on the gear icon under the Actions column and select Edit.

Step 8: Once in the course, click on the Edit tab.

Step 9: Scroll all the way down to the Enable targets area, check the Enable targets box and click on the white box below to select the target.

Step 10: Click Save to finish and navigate back to the Courses area. Notice that the enrollments column has been updated. It appears that 2 out of the 3 learners enrolled in Introduction to Principles of Management Millennial Edition are now enrolled in Principles of Management Millennial Edition because they met the specified criteria of earning a grade of 70% or higher in the Introduction to Principles of Management Millennial Edition course.
